About Us
The business started in 1988, it was only a hobby for about 5 years, until we moved to our present location. Most small classic car businesses are located on farms, and we are no exception. Within a 10 mile radius of us there is an MG specialist, a racing car restoration specialist, a classic car workshop, a body protection specialist and until recently a Morgan and another Triumph specialist, all on farms.
We are the only Triumph specialist workshop for the Triumph marque in North West England. We cater for all models in the range, except for TR2-6 & Acclaim (I mean Honda Accord...) The majority of our customers come from the North West, Yorkshire, North Midlands, North & Central Wales. We also have regular customers from as far away as Isle of Skye, Chichester, Swansea & Belfast.
The majority of our work is servicing, MOTs (we use a local licenced station), and restorations. About 25% of work is performance engines, kit car work & fitting wild engines, such as recently fitting a Granada Ultima Cosworth engine & auto box in a Stag now known as a Stagworth! We like a challenge and will consider anything interesting. All our work is to a high standard & several of our restorations have won awards at shows.
We will also do part restorations the work you can't do yourself, usually welding & panel re-alignment or re-trimming, but talk to us as early as possible (advice is free). It may save you a lot of money & grief! We want to keep the marque on the road for decades not a couple of years!
We have extensive used stock on the shelf, and new service & mechanical parts. Visitors are welcome anytime, 7 days a week. We would rather you visited us when looking for used parts, as trim can be difficult to describe - we will mail order but don't encourage it. Sorry, we don't take plastic (well we live in the '60's &'70's!).
Oh, we also have a 1968 courtesy car!
